Services For Frank Bloxham At Funeral Home
Funeral services are being held at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home For Frank Bloxham, life-long resident of the community, who passed away at his home here Monday. Rev. Walter T. Martin of the Community Presbyterian Church will have charge of the rites. Burial will be in Postville cemetery.
Frank Bloxham was born January 23, 1870 on a farm in Franklin township and passed away September 11, 1950 at his home in Postville, after a long illness. He was the youngest son of Charles and Janette (Dickson) Bloxham. He was united in marriage to Letta Collins who preceded him in death April 17, 1939.
Mr. Bloxham was a life-long resident of the community, being engaged in farming until 1919, when he and Mrs. Bloxham moved to Postville where they resided until her death, after which he made his home with his youngest daughter, Mrs. Everett Cook.
Surviving are five children -- Clarence of Waukon, Lee of Hay Springs, Nebraska, Mrs. Belle Miller of Postville, Ray of Bettendorf and Mrs. Jeannette Cook of Postville and one brother David of Iowa Falls; also 17 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.
