Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at St. Paul's Lutheran church, conducted by the Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig. Interment was made in Postville cemetery and the Odd Fellows held short services at the grave.

William Henry Weihe was the eldest son of the late Henry and Magdalena (Jacobs) Weihe and was born September 12, 1865, in the old stone house on the Williams farm in Grand Meadow township. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith and was a member of St. Paul's church of this city.

He was married to Anna Eggert, March 26, 1890, and to them was born one daughter, Hattie, both of whom survive him. They established their home on their farm south of Postville and later came to this city where they have resided for many years.

For a number of years Mr. Weihe was a clerk at the Goetz lumber yard and later at the Gregg yard. He took a keen interest in public affairs and served Allamakee county as supervisor for six years; he was a member of the Postville school board for 12 years and a member of the town council for many years. Mr. Weihe was a director on the official board of the Postville State Bank for the past 27 years.

Fraternally he was affiliated with the Modern Woodmen, the Oddfellows and the Rebekah lodges of this city.

In addition to the wife and daughter, he is survived by two brothers, Charles and Elmer of Postville, and one sister, Mrs. Celia Schepple of Dubuque. His parents, four sisters and two brothers have passed on before him.
