Rodney Hall Meier, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hall C. Meier of route 2, Postville, passed away Saturday, December 22, 1934, at 10 p.m. at the age of one year, three months and 22 days. As death was due to scarlet fever no public funeral was permitted, and interment was made in Postville cemetery on Sunday, December 23rd, at 10 a.m., Dr. R. B. Garten officiating.

This was the second child these parents lost within a week from the same malady, and the sympathy of many friends is with them in their time of sorrow.

Rodney Hall Meyer/Meier was born 1933 Aug 24 and died 1934 Dec 22. His obit gives surname as Meier, but Allamakee Death Records spell his surname as Meyer. The Woodmansee book has him as Meyer. He has a infant brother named Wayne Leroy Meyer in Postville Cemetery Area B.
