Mrs. R. D. Blackburn died at Los Angeles last Monday morning at seven o'clock. While she had not been in good health for some time it was not thought that her condition was critical.

Her niece, Miss Amy Meier of this city arrived there about a week before her death and assisted in her care in the last days. During her many years residence in Postville she made a large circle of friends who will sympathize with the relatives in their bereavement. She was a sister of Mrs. A. L. Meier of this city. The remains will be taken to McGregor and laid beside her husband.
