Lon Leroy Colvin was born Dec. 26, 1900, and died April 28, 1925, aged 24 years, four months and one day. He was born in Franklin township, Allamakee county, Iowa. He graduated from the 8th grade school and also high school at Waukon. He also took a business course in the Wisconsin Business University at La Cross. The last several months he has been employed at home on his father's farm.

He leaves to mourn his death his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Colvin, and one brother, Leo; also his grandparents, several aunts and uncles, and many other relatives and a host of friends, among whom was his intended life companion, Miss Irma Opfer of Waukon.

He was a sufferer from heart trouble for many months, which was no doubt the physical reason leading to his life's sad ending. It is believed by many who knew him best that he was suddenly overcome by a suspension of reason.

Funeral services were conducted at the Forest Mills U. B. church on Friday afternoon, May 1, after which he was laid to rest in the Waukon cemetery.
