Hold Funeral Rites Here For Mrs. Victor Scofield.

Funeral rites were held here Sunday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home for Mrs. Victor Scofield [Caroline], 60, who passed away last Thursday at St. Joseph's hospital in Milwaukee, Wis., following an illness of several months duration. The Rev. Frederick R. Ludwig officiated at the services and interment was in Postville cemetery.

Mrs. Scofield was born in Postville October 18, 1882, as the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Koevenig. On November 1, 1900, she was united in marriage with Victor Scofield and to this union two children were born, namely, Mrs. Fred Naus and Harold Scofield, both of Milwaukee. These, with their five children, and Mr. Scofield survive.

Mrs. Scofield is also survived by three sisters, Mrs. E. A. Stockman of Marshalltown, Mrs. J. D. Becker of Calmar, Mrs. J. E. Buell of Minneapolis, Minn., two brothers, Henry M. Koevenig and John J. Koevenig of Postville, and numerous other relatives.

Out of town people here for the funeral included Mrs. J. D. Becker and son Gregg, of Calmar, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Koevenig of Decorah, Mrs. Jack Brown of Austin, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. John Kluss and Mrs. Harold Klatt of Castalia, Mrs Joe Kluss of Marquette, and Victor Scofield, Harold Scofield and two children, and Mrs. Fred Naus and two children of Milwaukee, Wis.
