Anthony Staadt Disinterred.

On Wednesday morning of this week the remains of Anthony Staadt, eldest son of A. Staadt, of this city, were brought from Milwaukee to Postville and deposited in the family lot in that silent city of the dead beside those of his mother. Anthony Staadt was born near Sheboygan, Wis., Oct. 28, 1953. Later he removed to Postville with his parents. In 1871 his father secured a position for him with the Niedecken Drug Co., of Milwaukee, which place he had held but about three months when stricken with peritonitis, which terminated fatally on December 16th, 1871, the funeral obsequies and interment taking place in that city. The now venerable father for years has grieved that Anthony should lie alone, far from kindred and friend, and as old age with its infirmities came on the desire to have "his Tony" brought home to rest grew, and being at last no longer able to withstand the constant yearnings of heart, he took the necessary steps to have his wish fulfilled.

While this bringing back awakens in the heart no little sorrow, in a measure it has its recompense of joy, but that the heart wish of father Staadt has finally been fulfilled none are more pleased than we.
