Obituary Of Eliza Mc Clintock.

Gertrude Eliza McClintock, daughter of William and Ann (Cleverly) McClintock was born near Frankville in Winneshiek county, Iowa, April 26, 1869, and passed away on Feb. 22nd, 1920, aged 50 years, 9 months and 26 days.

United in marriage to Elba Lamborn June 4, 1894, they resided on a farm two and a half miles north of Luana until Mr. Lamborn's death which occurred Sept. 22, 1917. To this union one daughter, Imo A., was born July 27, 1902.

After Mr. Lamborn's death she and Imo removed to Postville where she resided until her death. A good neighbor, a staunch friend, kind and thoughtful for the comforts of others. Preceded in death by her parents, also a sister, Mrs. Addie Briggs and brother George A. McClintock, and a half-sister, Mrs. Stella Uhl Cook. Surviving relatives beside her daughter Imo, a brother, Fred W. McClintock of Maxwell, Iowa, half brothers; Joe McClintock of Northwood, Iowa, and Jess Uhl of Post township and a half sister, Bertha (Uhl) Deering of Post township.

The funeral was held from the M. E. church in this city Monday forenoon, Rev. Wiltberger officiating and interment at Luana.
