Anna Colsch

Anna (Mettille) Colsch, 84, of New Albin died Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 1995 at Thornton Manor in Lansing.

She was born Feb. 8, 1911 in rural New Albin to Louis and Mary (Mauss) Mettille. April 25, 1933 she married L. Peter Colsch.

Anna was a lifetime member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and its Rosary Society.

Surviving are her husband; her sons and their wives, Cecil and Betty Colsch of Woodstown, NJ, Gary and Pat Colsch of Shalimar, FL, Gerald and Myrria Colsch of New Albin, and John and Cindy Colsch of LaCrescent, NM; a sister, Leona Nelson of New Albin; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank; a sister, Mary Mettille, and a grandson.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 29 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Fr. Charipar officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Casket bearers were Patrick, Michael, Daniel, William, Carl and Thomas Colsch.

Honorary bearers were Carrie (Colsch) Mayhan, Christine (Colsch) Bries, Andrew, Ann, Peter and Susan Colsch.
