Services Held For Arnold Vokaty

Services for Arnold Vokaty, 47, of Cresco were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 18 at Assumption Catholic Church in Cresco. Msgr. Donald P. Heineman officiated with interment in Oak Lawn cemetery.

He died Nov. 15 of an apparent heart attack.

Arnold Gene Vokaty was born Sept. 16, 1935 in Howard County, the son of Joseph and Mary Vokaty. He graduated from Cresco High School. Arnie was a body repairman at Ray's Body Shop in Cresco. He was a member of the Assumption Church.

On Oct. 12, 1963 Arnie married Janis Christofferson, daughter of Elsa Christofferson of Postville, in Cresco. They became the parents of a son, Christopher Eric.

Survivors include his wife and son of Cresco; his father, Joseph Vokaty; a brother, Ray Vokaty and two sisters, Mrs. Norman (Geraldine) Bilidt and Mrs. Ralph (Joan) Kleve, all of Cresco.

He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother.
