The death of Mrs. Thos. Manning, whose funeral took place Monday at Wexford, was most unexpected, and a great surprise when news of it was circulated Saturday morning last. She had been in fairly good health and was sick but about thirty hours. Deceased came to this country with her husband in 1863 from Franklin county, New York. Her age was about 83 years. Her marriage to Mr. Manning took place about fifty-five years ago. Several grown sons and daughters, among them Mrs. P. Murphy, Mrs. M. Gleason, Mrs. Thos. Brennan, Mrs. W. Whalen of Lafayette and Mrs. P. Duffy of Emmetsburg, and John, Michael and James, of Lafayette and Jeremiah in Dakota, with the aged husband are left to mourn her loss.
