Agnes H. Finnegan, age 103, a longtime resident of Oak Park, Illinois and former resident of Waukon, Iowa, passed away at home September 25, 2011. She was buried from St. Edmund's Church in Oak Park, Illinois with interment at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Chicago, Illinois.

Agnes H. Devitt was born July 29, 1908 in Mulhall, Oklahoma Territory to Michael and Mary (Donovan) Devitt. At a very young age her parents
moved the family to Waukon, Iowa. Agnes was raised in Waukon and graduated from the Waukon High School. She married John Finnegan. She was a bookkeeper with Sears Roebuck & Company until her retirement in 1973. She enjoyed writing poetry and creating personalized books for all her nieces and nephews.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John, and her siblings Leo Devitt, Mabel Hayes, Margaret Higgins, Hazel Grayson, Martin Devitt, Loretta Hancock, Alice Delaney, and Harold Devitt. She was a beloved aunt to many.
