Funeral services were held on Thursday, December 13, for Leonard Arthur Christofferson, Elkader, at the Peace United Church of Christ at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Alvin Volle officiating. Burial was at Postville.

Leonard Arthur Christofferson, son of Walter and Mary Olson Christofferson, was born at Postville, November 17, 1909, and died December 10, 1962, at the Central Community Hospital, Elkader.

He was a graduate of the Luana high school and chose farming as his vocation. He lived on a farm near Postville until 1957 when due to his health he and his family left the farm and moved to Elkader.

Mr. Christofferson was baptized in the Presbyterian Church, Postville, confirmed at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Postville, and was a member of the Peace United Church of Christ at Elkader at the time of his death.

Mr. Christofferson was married to Illeta Ruckdaschel, August 24, 1941, at Postville.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Shirley Ann, and his parents.

He is survived by his wife and two children, James and Janet, at home; six brothers, Henry of Monona, Elmer, Elbe, William, Herman and Harvey, of Postville and two sisters, Mrs. Hollis (Velma) Enyart and Mrs. Albert (Alice) Backhaus, Postville.
