Funeral services for Edith Eleanora Teslow, age 79, were held Wednesday, January 28 at Glenwood Lutheran Church, rural Decorah, Iowa with Pastor Joseph Lambert officiating. Burial was in Glenwood East Cemetery with arrangements by Fjelstul Funeral home. Casket bearers were Dr. Stacene Maroushek, J. Brown, Dr. Nancy Boury, Ern Boury, Marlene Fenstermann, and Duane Fenstermann.

Edith Eleanora, daughter of Edward and Meta (Blum) Fiet of Ludlow Township, Allamakee County, Iowa She graduated from Waukon High School, attended Normal School and Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. After teaching several years in rural schools, Edith worked at Luther College as a member of the support staff. She was a member of Glenwood Lutheran Church and its women's organization. On May 23, 1938 Edith married Lester H. Teslow at Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, rural Postville, Iowa.

Edith Eleanora Teslow died of cancer on Sunday, January 25, 1998 at Oneota Riverview Care Facility in Decorah, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Arthur Fiet, and a daughter Marcene Teslow who died at the age of two and one-half years.

Edith is survived by her husband, Lester, a son Larry (Pamela) Teslow of Park Rapids, Minnesota, a daughter, Maureen (Stanley) Maroushek of Harmony, Minnesota, 2 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
