Obituary of Margaret Muchow Levy

Margaret Levy, age 91 died Sunday February 13, 2011 at Pleasantview Home, Kalona,Iowa following a sudden illness. Formerly of Des Moines. The family will greet friends Thursday February 17 from 2 to 4 pm and 5 to 7 pm at the Peterseim Funeral Home. Final services will
be at Dunn Funeral Home, Des Moines,Iowa on Friday,February 18 from 4-6p. Mrs Levy`s body will be cremated after the visitation in Des Moines.

Margaret Levy was born June 30, 1919 at Postville,IA. She was the daughter of John and Mamie (Ervin) Muchow.She graduated from the
Postville High School. Margaret was united in marriage to Edward R. Levy December 14,1939. The couple owned and operated restaurants in Des Moines for a number of years. The Pioneer, Sombero, Skondras and Tel Star were their operations.

Margaret is survived by three children: Cheryl of Riverside, IA, John Levy of Ankeny ,IA and Lewis Levy of Mapel Hill, NC. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren and 34 great grandchildren and 26 great great grandchildren. A memorial fund has been established for Pleasantview Home.
