Funeral services for Clarence Harvey Schnuelle, age 76, of rural Waukon, Iowa were held Monday March 11 at the St. John's Lutheran Church in Waukon with Rev. Lynn Groe conducting the services. Burial was in the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Clarence Harvey Schnuelle, son of Simon and Elizabeth (Heins) Schnuelle, was born in Post Township, Postville, Iowa in Allamakee County. He attended Highlandville Township School. He and his wife Verda Mae Suckow were married April 19, 1944. They had lived in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, Frankville, Iowa, Rochester, Minnesota, and Waukon, Iowa.

Clarence died Thursday, March 7, 1991 in the Veterans Memorial Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents, two children, Julie Schnuelle and Roger Schnuelle; 2 brothers, William "Bill" Fred Schnuelle, Fritz Schnuelle; and 4 sisters, Elsie Colvin, Clara Schultz, Vila Mathis, and Laura Ihde.

Clarence is survived by his wife, Verda Mae; 3 sons, Ralph Schnuelle, Charles Schnuelle, and Jerry Schnuelle; and 6 daughters, Doris Miller, Betty Brainard, Connie Cole, Kathy Byrnes, Marilyn Henkels, and Janice Schnuelle; 21 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; and 2 sisters, Lydia Schnuelle and Marie Ihde.
