Hermanson's Funeral Friday

Henry T. Hermanson, who was born July 10, 1877, on a farm near Waterville, passed away May 27, 1957. He was one of a family of 12 children and was baptized and confirmed in the Old East Paint Creek Lutheran church.

He met and married Julia Hellesvig in Maddock, N. D., in 1903. To this union ten children were born, two died in infancy and Rosella, the eldest passed away May 1, 1956.

Survivors are his wife, Julia, four daughters, Mrs. Wm. Slattery (Thelma) of Waukon, Mrs. Harold Drake (Gladys), Mrs. Eddie Berger (Viola) both of Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Waldo Edwardson (Miranda) of Minneapolis, Minn.; three sons, Hubert of Waukon, Vernon of Taylor Falls, Minn., and Leland of Wazata, Minn.; also three sisters, Mrs. Inger Kolsrud of California, Mrs. Leonard Tysland, St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. C. W. Heberling of Wayzata, Minn.; one brother Ben Hermanson of Canton, S. D. There are 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

After living in North Dakota for ten years, they moved to Iowa where they resided until 16 years ago, at that time moving to their present home near Taylor Falls, Minn. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1953.

Funeral services were held on Friday in the Lutheran church in Almalund, Minn., where he was a member and at the Old East Paint Creek church on Saturday, with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. E. O. Baalson officiated. Pallbearers were Oscar Roldson, Clarence Roldson, Roy Hermanson, Truman Wurtzel, Chester Spinner and Tade Spinner.

Out-of-town relatives and friends attending the services here were: Mr. and Mrs. Waldo Edwardson, Janet and Phillip of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hermanson, Wayzata, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Hermanson, Taylor Falls, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Drake, Mr and Mrs. Eddie Berger, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dargis, Patty, Carrie, Bobby and Wm. Henry, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Berger, Srt, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Augustin, Mr. and Mrs. John Hellsvig and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hellsvig, all of Milwaukee, Wis.; Roy Hermanson, Mabel, Minn.; and Mrs. Leo Sheriff of LaCrosse, Wis. Those from here attending the services at Almalund, Minn., were Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Hermanson and Bernard.
