Funeral services for Marianne Leschensky, age 57, of Waukon, Iowa were held Monday, April 30 at Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon, Iowa. The Rev. Henry Heinbuch and Dr. Richard Simon Hanson officiated at the 1:30 p.m. service. Burial was in the Lansing Ridge Cemetery. Martin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Lynn Morrow, Lee Gruenhaupt, Don Angel, Earl Kerker, Joe Cunningham, and Dan Otting.

Marianne was born November 11, 1932 in Dubuque, Iowa to Earl A. and Vera M. (Hood) Miller. She graduated from Hudson High School and also from Cornell College in Mount Vernon, Iowa. On June 20, 1954 she married John Leschensky in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Marianne was a homemaker and a member of Martha Circle at Zion United Church of Christ, and Thursday Club.

Marianne died Thursday, April 26, 1990 at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. She was preceded in death by her father.

She is survived by her husband, John; her mother Vera Miller of Cedar Falls, Iowa; 2 daughters, Deborah (Mike) Murrell of Waukon, Iowa and Rebecca (Charles) Hoffman of Tacoma, Washington; a son Jeffrey Leschensky of Waukon, Iowa; 3 grandchildren and a brother, John Miller of Cedar Falls, Iowa.
