Funeral services for George L. Mohn, age 75, of Waukon, Iowa, were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 10 at St. Ann's - St.Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Louis Trzil officiating. Burial was in the St. Joseph's Cemetery with arrangements by Hanson Funeral Home. Casket bearers were Bob Kelly, Jim Kelly, Bill Mohn, Cyril Mohn, Ralph Mohn, and Tom Mohn.

George L. Mohn was born June 20, 1923 in Lansing, Iowa to Jesse and Lillian (Boardman) Mohn. George was a member of St. Ann's - St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. He was a commercial fisherman and had lived in Lansing, Harpers Ferry and Waukon, Iowa all of his life.

George died Wednesday, April 7, 1999 at Franciscan Skemp Medical Center in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his 4 brothers, Merle Mohn, Richard "Dick" Mohn, Joseph Mohn, and Thomas Mohn.

He is survived by his sister, Rose M. Kelly of Harpers Ferry and 2 sisters-in-law, Mary Mohn of Waukon, Iowa and Genevieve Mohn of Lansing, Iowa.
