Funeral services were held for Virginia Kellison at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 4 at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lynn Groe officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery with Martin Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Timothy Kellison, Michael Kellison, Donald Kellison, Randall Kellison, Kevin Kuhse, Kevin Schneider, Graham Goltz, and Benjamin Wilson. Honorary bearers were Tonette Kellison, Lindsey Kellison, Megan Kellison, Brooke Kellison, Britni Kellison, Jenny Kellison, Chad Kellison, Skylar Kellison, Kyle Kellison, Gretchen Goltz, Elizabeth Wilson, Amber Kuhse, Krystal Kuhse, and Mercedes Sprengel.

Virginia Alice Selma was born February 7, 1921 to George and Alice (Ewing) Beisker on their rural Postville, Iowa farm. She attended Allamakee County rural elementary school and Waukon High School. On October 30, 1936 Virginia and Donald Kellison were married in Waterloo, Iowa. For 22 years she was a nurse's aid at the Good Samaritan Center. Virginia was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church and its women's organizations and circle.

Virginia died Monday, March 2, 1998 at the Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in LaCrosse, Wisconsin following a heart attack. She was 77 years old. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, Timothy Kellison; 3 brothers, Dean Beisker, Marvin Beisker, and George Beisker; and a sister, Georgia Riehm.

She is survived by 2 sons, Dale (Kathryn) Kellison of Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and Virgil (Margaret) Kellison of Hiawatha, Iowa; 4 daughters, Penny (Kenneth) Marti of Waukon, Iowa, Shelly (Clark) Goltz of Decorah, Iowa, Amanda (David) Wilson of Lansing, Iowa, Kristie (Kenny) Topel of Ft. Atkinson, Iowa; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Amanda (George) Kelbl of Manilla, Iowa; and 4 brothers, John "Jack" (Arlene) Beisker of Rossville, Iowa, Roger Beisker, David (Delores) Beisker, all of Monona, Iowa, and Larry (Ruth) Beisker of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
