Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 21 for Harry A. Meyer, age 87, of New Albin, Iowa. Services were held at St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Eitzen, Minnesota. The Rev. Thomas Laufer officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were by Haugen-Roble-Jandt Funeral Home of Caledonia, Minnesota.

Harry was born July 11, 1910 in Union City Township, Allamakee County, Iowa to William and Caroline (Brinker) Meyer. Harry attended Columbus School, east of Eitzen, Minnesota. On October 21, 1944 he married Evelyne Peterson in Caledonia, Minnesota. She died June 1, 1997. Harry died Friday, October 17, 1997 at the Lutheran Home in Caledonia, Minnesota.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Evelyne, a son Gregory Meyer, and 2 brothers Elroy Meyer and Walter Meyer.

Surviving are 2 daughters, Carol Ashland of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Shirley (Willard) Meyer of Dorchester, Iowa; 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
