Rites Held For Harry N. Hanks

Harry Newell Hanks, son of James and Agnes Hanks, was born in Postville on March 6, 1894. He passed away June 30, 1958 at his home in Muskogee, Oklahoma, at the age of 64 years.

On November 18, 1920, Harry Hanks was married to Ruth Daubenberger, at Postville.

He was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church of Muskogee and the Masonic Lodge. He served as a deacon in the Presbyterian Church.

Harry Hanks worked for the Long Bell Lumber Company for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two daughters, Marjorie, who died in infancy, and Norma, who passed away in 1946 at the age of 19.

Surviving are his wife Ruth of Muskogee, Oklahoma, and his brother, G. L. Hanks of River Forest, Illinois.

Funeral services were held at the Schutte Funeral Home Saturday, July 5, at 3 p.m. with the Rev. W. T. Martin in charge of the services. Burial was in the Postville cemetery.
