Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Funeral services were held for Roger L. Selberg at 2 p.m. at Parrott & Wood Funeral Home in Waterloo, Iowa with burial in the Waterloo Cemetery. Flag folding rites were conducted by Becker-Chapman Post 138 of the American Legion. Serving as pallbearers were Bob Weber, Bob Ingles, John Ingles, Curt Gilbertson, Merilyn Klocke, and Tom Grovo.
Roger was born July 1, 1941 in Waukon, Iowa to Elmer and Esther (Wiemerslage) Selberg. He graduated from the Waukon High School. On June 29, 1963 he married Judith Klocke in Waukon, Iowa. He was employed by John Deere & Company for 17 years and also served in the United States Army. He died Saturday, December 23, 1989 at the age of 48 in his home in Waterloo, Iowa.
He was preceded in death his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Judith; 2 sons, Wayne Selberg of Des Moines, Iowa and Craig Selberg of Tustin, California; 3 sisters, Elaine Weber of Waukon, Iowa, Arla Clemons of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Dorothy Schlitter of Onawa, Iowa.
