John Hollis Myers, age 80, died at his home in Harpers Ferry, Iowa Allamakee County on Monday, August 25, 1986. Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon, Iowa was in charge of arrangements. The body was cremated and there were no public services.

John was born July 30, 1906 in Jasper, Alabama to Claude and Ada Grace Myers. He married his wife Sybil in 1936 in Chicago, Illinois. He was a retired rulerman in Chicago, Illinois where they lived before moving to Harpers Ferry, Iowa 17 years ago. He was a member of Pleadies Masonic Lodge in Chicago, Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, 2 daughters, Wadean and Ann; 4 sons, Donald Myers, Dennis Myers, Robert Myers, and Hollis Myers; 14 grandchildren and two half sisters.
