Joseph Carroll

Joseph A. Carroll, 59, of New Albin died Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI following an extended illness. Services will be held at a later date.
Joseph A. Carroll was born March 6, 1951 in LaCrosse, WI. He was the son of John and Rita Smerud Carroll. Joe received his education in Waukon. He worked most of his career at the Sawmill in New Albin. He was a former member of the Jaycees in New Albin.
He is survived by two brothers, David (Jeanie) of New Albin and James of New Albin; two sisters, Linda Peterson of New Albin and Anita (Mark) Goellner of Duluth, MN; and six nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother-in-law, David Peterson.
The Thornburg-DeVries Funeral Home of Lansing was in charge of arrangements.
