Melvin L. Larson, age 81, of Montgomery, Alabama, died Wednesday October 29, 1986 at his home. Services were Friday, October 31 at 2 p.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel with Dr. Earl Hall and the Rev. Darron Fulmer officiating. Burial was in the Cubahatchie Baptist Church Cemetery in Shorter, Alabama. The Leak-Memory Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were D.W. Moody, Toxie Carlisle, Wallace Pouncy, Don Oswalt, David Oswalt and James Struthers.

Melvin was born November 27, 1904 near Waterville, Iowa Allamakee County to Lewis and Mathea (Anderson) Larson. He was a member of the Mongomery Masonic Lodge 11.

He was preceded in death his parents, five sisters, and four brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Maye; 3 sons, Lewis Larson of Barrington, Illinois, Phillip Larson of Houston, Texas, and Gregory Larson of San Diego, California; a brother Clarence Larson of Postville, Iowa; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews from the Waukon area.
