Michael Jordan

Michael C. Jordan, age 77, of Lansing passed away Thursday, February 3, 2011 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon. The family plans to hold a memorial service some time in the spring. Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon is assisting the family with arrangements.
Michael was born December 21, 1933 in Pittsburgh, PA, the son of Michael J. Jordan and Lucille Edwards. He served as a U.S. Army Private-2 during the Korean War from 1951-1954. He married his wife, Violet, October 20, 1973 in Waukon.
He is survived by his wife, Violet Jordan of Lansing; his step-son, Edward (Tammy) Cottone of Lansing; his special nephew, Jason (Danyell) Cottone of Soldiers Grove, WI; his three grandchildren, Alaina Comstock, Aleea Comstock and Aliza Comstock, all of Soldiers Grove, WI; siblings Cyril “Jim” (Beverly) Jordan of Ontario, WI, George (Jane) Britt of Waukesha, WI, Milton (Lyla) Britt of Pewaukee, WI, LaVern (Chris) Britt of Viroqua, WI, Robert Jordan of Pennsylvania, Dan Jordan of Pennsylvania, Joyce Kowalski of Pennsylvania, Janice Beall of Prairie du Chien, WI, and Mary (Howard) Meiners of Viroqua, WI; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Michael J. Jordan and Lucille (Edwards) Britt; a brother, Francis Jordan; a sister-in-law, Renee Britt; a great-niece, Brenda Meiners; his father-in-law, Melvin Cottone; his mother-in-law, Harriet Cottone; his brother-in-law, Melvin Cottone; and his stepfather, Albert Britt.
