Norma N. Knowles, age 71, of Chillicothe, Ohio, died Tuesday, November 4, 1986 after a brief illness. Following cremation, a memorial service was held at 8 p.m. Saturday, November 8 in Chillicothe.

Norma was born February 26, 1915 in Waukon, Iowa Allamakee County to George and Ruth (Buettell) Herman. She married Stanley E. Knowles on September 9, 1939.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Milton Herman, and a sister, Leila O'Brien.

Surviving are her husband, Stan; 2 sons Dennis Knowles of Chillicothe, Ohio and Gary Knowles of Medford, Oregon; 4 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Olive) Dunning of Waukon, Iowa and a brother Allan Herman of Sherwood, Oregon.
