Military graveside services were held Wednesday, October 23 in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon for Nathan P. "Duke" Burrows, age 59, of Jewell, Oregon. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Hughes-Ransom Funeral Home of Seaside, Oregon.

Nathan died Saturday, October 19, 1985 at his home. He was born September 3, 1926 in Waukon, Iowa Allamakee County to Paul and Bertha Burrows. *Mother's maiden name was not listed.* Later on the family moved to Chico, California. Burrows served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later moved to Ocean City, Washington where he worked as a logger and commercial fisherman.

He is survived by a son Terry Burrows of Barrow, Alaska, 2 daughters, Lana Danner of Prineville, Oregon and Sandi Creswell of Jewell, Oregon; a granddaughter; a brother John L. Burrows of St. Thomas Island, Virgin Islands and a sister, Miriam B. Davis of Chico, California.
