Evelyn Johnson Warden, age 79, of Waterloo, Iowa died Tuesday, March 17, 1987 at Covenant Medical Center in Waterloo, Iowa. Services have been set for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21 in Locke Funeral Home in Waterloo with the Rev. James P. Kvetko officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa.

Evelyn was born April 15, 1907 in Winneshiek County to Adolph and Lettie (Fullerton) Peterson. She married Albert C. Johnson in 1931. He died in 1965. She married Charles Warden in 1971. He died in 1984. She was a member of the Zion United Church of Christ in Waukon and a life-long member of the Decorah Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had taught elementary school for 6 years in Waukon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husbands.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Davis of Mesa, Arizona and Linda Boots of Waterloo, Iowa and a son Robert Johnson of Marshalltown, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
