Memorial services for Mavis Lavonne Anderson, age 50, were held Saturday, March 29 at 2:30 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson, Wisconsin with the Rev. David M. Crow officiating. She died Thursday, March 27, 1986.

Mavis was born September 13, 1935 to Ernie and Sylvia (Huffman) Smith. She graduated from Waukon High School in 1953. She married William Anderson in November 1953 in Waukon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a brother Ora Smith of Waukon, Iowa.

Survivors include her husband, William; 4 daughters, Vickie Anderson of Oakdale, Minnesota, Dana Bauer, Belinda Anderson, and Diane Erickson, all of Hudson, Wisconsin; a son Douglas Anderson of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; 4 grandsons; a brother Marcus Smith of Waukon, Iowa and 4 sisters, Mrs. Myron (Luella) Gibbs, Mrs. Paul (Jean) Pufahl, and Mrs. Thomas (Lorayne) Gallagher, all of Waukon, Iowa, and Mrs. John (Gretta) Keepers of Waupun, Wisconsin.
