W. S. Lyons was born in Morgan county, Ohio, October 9, 1840, and moved with his parents to Allamakee county, Iowa, in 1854, and continued to reside there till six years ago, when he removed with his sister to the village of Frankville, where he died February 23, 1908, being 67 years, 4 months and 14 days old. He joined the Presbyterian church of Frankville in 1856 and has been a consistent member till death removed him. He leaves to mourn his loss two sisters, Mrs. Samuel Waters and Miss Jennie Lyons, with whom he made his home.
