Gretta Scholtes, 70, of Lansing, died Feb. 25, 1993 at her home.
She was born Margaret Dolores Collins, March 16, 1922 to William and Cecila M. McLaughlin Collins at Hanover, IA. She graduated from Waukon High School. Gretta taught in the rural schools for a time before her marriage to John Scholtes, Feb. 8, 1944 at Waukon.
She is survived by her husband John; one son Daniel of Lansing; one daughter Mary Fischer of Onalaska, WI;. six grandchildren, Frank, David and Susan Fischer; John, Sara .and William Scholtes; one sister Mary Frances Gruber of Waukon.
She is preceded in death by her parents and two infant sons Donald and Joseph.
Funeral services were held Monday, March 1, 1993, 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Lansing with Father Herbert Tegeler officiating. Burial is in Gethsemane Cemetery, Lansing.
