Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 14 for Clifton H. Roese, who died Sunday April 12, 1987 at a Keokuk, Iowa hospital. Services were at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Argyle, Iowa and burial was in Spring Prairie Cemetery.

Clifton was born March 4, 1902 in Allamakee County to Bernard and Gina (Asleson) Roese. He attended Waterville School. In September of 1932 he married Eloise Moody. He farmed in the Waterville, Cherry Mound, and Farmington, Iowa areas.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Gladys, Iva, and Merle and two brothers who died in infancy.

Surviving are his wife, Eloise; a sister Mrs. Jack (Irma) Koontz of Great Falls, Michigan, and several nieces and nephews.
