Eleanor C. Link, age 73, died Monday, October 27, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital in Waukon, Iowa. Services were held Thursday, October 30 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Officiating at the funeral services were the Rev. Thomas Jennings of Easton, Minnesota, the Rev. E.W. Lechtenberg of Waukon, Iowa, the Rev. James A. Supple of Nevada, Iowa and the Rev. Francis A. Lana of Cascade, Iowa. Burial was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery with Hanson Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were grandsons Bob, Paul, Bill, and John Link and nephews David Jennings and Charles McCabe.

Eleanor was born September 6, 1913 in Houston County, Minnesota to Anton and Anne (Schwebach) Ernster. On September 15, 1934 she married Elmer G. Link in Caledonia, Minnesota. He died November 5, 1976. She was a member of the St. Patrick's church and lived most of her life in the Waukon, Iowa area. She was a homemaker and a former employee at Northgate Manor in Waukon, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Survivors are 3 sons, Tony Link of Waukon, Iowa, Bill Link of LaGrange, Illinois, and Dr. Charles Link of LaCrosse, Wisconsin; 3 daughters, Sister Mary Carolyn Link of Ames, Iowa, Janis Schulte of Dorchester, Iowa and Marcia Hirsch of Clinton, Iowa; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mrs. Lloyd (Wilma) Jennings and Mrs. Bill (Helen) McCabe, both of Caledonia, Iowa.
