Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Robert Francis Pfiffner, age 35, of Lansing, Iowa died Thursday, June 26, 1986 at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, Iowa of injuries received in an automobile accident. Services were held Monday, June 30 at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing, Iowa with Father Herbert Tegeler officiating. Burial was in the Gethsemane Cemetery with Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home in Lansing in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Mark Walleser, Randy Smith, Clarke Simmonds, Mike O'Hare, Kenneth Walleser, and Mike Ferring.
Robert was born December 1, 1950 in Waukon to Martin and Leota (Wagner) Pfiffner. He attended Lansing schools. He served in the Army and married Laure Luth on April 19, 1975. He was a construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.
Surviving are his wife, 2 daughters, Jennifer and Jessica, both at home; his mother; 3 brothers, Jim Pfiffner of Harpers Ferry, Iowa, Michael Pfiffner, and Tom Pfiffner of Lansing, Iowa; 4 sisters, Carolyn Gagermeier of LaCrescent, Minnesota, Mary Egan of Waukon, Iowa, Betty Pfiffner of Spartanburg, North Carolina, and Joan Reburn of New Albin, Iowa.
