Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Former New Albin, Iowa resident, Marce Edward Kelly, age 76, died Tuesday, May 20, 1986 at Mulder Health Care Facility in West Salem, Wisconsin. Services were held Saturday, May 24 at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in New Albin, Iowa with Father Robert Rahe officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Catholic Church cemetery in New Albin, Iowa with Hanson Funeral Home in Waukon, Iowa in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were Leo Kelly, Mike Burke, Paul Breezer, Jim Hosch, Bob Thimmisch, and Herb Zarwell.
Marce was born November 9, 1909 in New Albin, Iowa to John F. and Margaret (Kenney/or Kenny) Kelly. He served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Altar Society, and Labor Union Lodge in Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include a brother William Kelly of New Albin, Iowa and two sisters, Norma Kelly of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Verda Cronk of Lansing, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
