Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Edward A. Weymiller, age 90, of Eitzen, Minnesota, died Tuesday, July 22, 1986 in his home. Services were held Friday, July 25 at 2 p.m. in the Haugen-Roble Funeral Chapel, Caledonia, Minnesota. The Rev. Lloyd Fried officiated. Burial was in the New Albin, Iowa City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Harold Meyer, Ronald Meyer, George Pottratz, Reuben Herman, Walter Hammell, and Edward Colsch.
Edward was born November 24, 1895 in the Sand Cove area of Iowa township to August F. and Otilie Hedwig (Bettin) Weymiller.*or Batten* They farmed in the Wilmington Township and the Sand Cove areas. He married Rosine Fruechte on February 26, 1919 in New Albin, Iowa. He attended a rural school in Allamakee County. He was employed at the Eitzen garage, Eitzen, Minnesota after moving to Eitzen. He was a member of St. Luke's United Church of Christ, Eitzen and previously was a member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in New Albin, where he was a council member. He also was on the school board in Iowa Township, Allamakee County, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Helen K. Weymiller and five brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Rosine; a son, John Weymiller of Eitzen, Minnesota, and a daughter, Rose Mae Wintz of Clarion, Iowa; 5 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Note: his sisters were Louise Weymiller, Emilie Weymiller, M. Bloomquist, Carl Weymiller & Emil Weymiller - born June 6, 1907 and died in June of 1980
