Cyril Garin, age 84, of Lansing, Iowa died Saturday, November 29, 1986 at Northgate Manor Nursing Home in Waukon, Iowa. Funeral services were held Monday, December 1 at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Wexford, Allamakee County, Iowa. Father John Smith officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Tom O'Neill, Cyril Mooney, Paul Gavin, Maurice Mooney, Harold Manning, and Robert Howe. Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Cyril was born April 23, 1902 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa to Thomas and Kathryn (Heffern) Garin. He married Viola Guider on June 21, 1927 in Wexford. They farmed for many years in Lafayette Township. He was a member of Wexford I.C. parish.

He was preceded in death by his wife, two brothers and a sister.

He is survived by three sons, Leo Garin and Keith Garin, both of Lansing, Iowa, and Gerald Garin of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a daughter Kathleen Troendle of Lansing, Iowa; 24 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
