Jerome P. "Jerry" Lanigan, age 83, died Friday, September 13, 1985 in a Maplewood, Minnesota nursing home. A memorial service was held Sunday night, September 15 at the Wulff Family Mortuary, Maplewood, Minnesota with a memorial mass and burial Monday, September 16 at Hanover cemetery, Allamakee County, Iowa. Pallbearers were Andy Wacker, Don Burke, David Burke, Larry Burke, Bill Trigg, and Garland Byrnes.

Jerry was a farmer and businessman in the Waukon, Iowa area from 1935 to 1960. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary (A'Hearn) Lanigan and four brothers.

He is survived by his wife, Marie of St. Paul, Minnesota; and 2 daughters, Mrs. Charles (Joan) Burke of DeWitt, Iowa and Mrs. James (Margaret) Wacker of Waukon, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 4 step-children: Mrs. Frances Connelly of St. Paul, Minnesota, Donald Gude of St. Louis Park, Minnesota, Mrs. Herbert (Ruby) Baeder of Wayne, New Jersey, and Mrs. Bernard (Lois) Brown of Maplewood, Minnesota; 8 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great grandchildren.
