Waukon resident Ralph N. Hancock, age 78, died at his home on Sunday September 29, 1985. Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday afternoon October 2 at Martin Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. James Jacobson. Burial was in the Rossville Cemetery, Rossville, Iowa. Casket bearers were Lester Fish, Fred Fish, Lloyd Bechtel, Rudy Hesla, Leland Meyer, and Willard Leiran.

A farmer, he was the son of Thomas and Jennie (Moe) Hancock, born August 12, 1907 in Allamakee County, Iowa. He attended local schools and married Florence L. Deal on June 5, 1935 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

Ralph was preceded in death by a brother, Waldo Hancock.

He is survived by his wife, Florence; a son James R. Hancock of Columbus, Ohio; 1 grandchild; a sister, Mrs. Jessie Mae Turner of Warroad, Minnesota and a brother Carl Hancock of Osseo, Wisconsin.
