Rita McGeough died Wednesday, April 6, 1988 at JFK Memorial Clinic in Chicago, Illinois. Funeral services were held Saturday, April 9 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Priscilla Church. Burial was in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Chicago, Illinois. Preceding her in death were 2 sisters, a brother, and several nieces and nephews.

She was born November 4, 1916 in Harpers Ferry, Iowa to John and Ellen (Gavin) Hennessy. In 1938 she married Leo McGeough. He died in 1985. She was a long time employee of Helene Curtis beauty products.

She is survived by a daughter, Joan, Mrs. Tom Tully of Schaumberg, Illinois; 2 brothers, William Hennessy of Waukon, Iowa and John Hennessy of Lansing, Iowa; and 2 sisters, Regina, Mrs. Ralph Gamboni of Chicago, Illinois, and Thelma, Mrs. Leo Moore of Snohomish, Washington.
