Clara Bell Dundee, daughter of Henry C. and Anna (McWilliams) Lawson, was born July 17, 1904 near Postville, Iowa. She died Saturday, Jan. 29, 1994 in Veterans Memorial Hospital at Waukon, Iowa. She was 89.

She attended the school near her home, as well as the Waukon High School. On Jan. 25, 1922 she married John H. Dundee at Decorah, Iowa. To this union, six children were born. They farmed for many years until 1959, when they moved to Postville.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John, who died Feb. 2, 1975; three grandsons, John Jones, Larry Dundee, and Mark Dundee; a great grandson, Jason Dundee; two brothers, Elwood and Harold Lawson; two sisters, Mary Ellen in infancy and Alma Brown; and a son-in-law, John Jones.

Surviving are four sons, Roland (LaVerna) Dundee and Curtis (Eva) Dundee, all of Postville, Duane (Margie) Dundee of Muscatine, and Dean (Laura) Dundee of Cedar Rapids; two daughters, Betty (Edwin) Hawkins of Waukon and Dorothy Jones of Monona; 28 grandchildren; 60 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 2, 1994 at the Community Presbyterian Church, Postville, the Rev. Reuben Tjaden officiating. The Schutte Funeral Service of Postville was in charge of arrangements. Burial was in the Postville Cemetery. Casket bearers were Loren Dundee, David Jones, Gary Dundee, Joe Jones, Mathew Hawkins, William Little, Dean Dundee, Jr. and Dennis Dundee.
