Contributor: Connie Ellis (Not related)Donald F. McGeough, 71, of Waterloo, Iowa, died Sunday November 12, 1989 at Covenant Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 14 at Sacred Heart Church in Waterloo with burial in the Garden of Memories.
Donald was born August 21, 1918 near Rossville, Allamakee County, Iowa to Frank and Frankie (Smith) McGeough. He graduated from the Waterville High School. He served in the US Army for three years and in 1945 he married Vivian Mueller. He worked for Rath Packing in Waterloo for 35 years, retiring six years ago. He was a member of the VFW and Moose Lodge, both in Waterloo.
Surviving are his wife Frankie of Waterloo, four sons, Pat and Dennis, both of Waterloo, Rick of Des Moines, and Marty of Lubbock, TX; four grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Don (Helen) Schofield of Monona. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Charles and Ray, and a sister, Jeanne Rumph.
