Mary J. Zaug of Dubuque, Iowa died at the age of 89 at Dubuque Health Care Center Sunday, October 8, 1989. Funeral services were held Thursday, October 12 at 11 a.m. at Resurrection Catholic Church with burial in Mount Calvary Cemetery in Dubuque.

Mary was born in Waukon, Iowa March 15, 1900 to James and Catherine (Redding) McAneny. On June 16, 1925 she was united in marriage with John W. Zaug in Waukon, Iowa. She had lived in Dubuque for many years.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. John (Rosemary) Waters of Charlotte,Iowa and Justine Herzog of Dubuque; four sons, Leo of Fort Lauderdale, FL, James of Evansdale, Iowa, Clifford of Davenport, Iowa, and Raymond of Fairfax, CA; a sister, Catherine Counce of LaVegas, NM, 14 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
