MRS. J.L. KELLY CALLED TO HER ETERNAL HOME

Friends of Mrs. Jessie Lewis Kelly, 67, were deeply grieved Monday morning when it was learned that she had passed away the night before at her home in Paint Creek Township, near Rossville, Iowa on June 14, 1936. Her death was caused from a liver ailment, following a five week's illness.

Angie Leona, was born December 7, 1868,on her parent's farm. She was the daughter of Calvin A. and Isabelle (Dunn) Robey, early settlers on a farm near Rossville where she grew to young womanhood. She attended the rural schools and later was one of this county's successful teachers, teaching at the Crossroads Country School located about a mile east of Rossville.

On February 19, 1891, she was united in marriage with Jesse L. Kelly and with the exception of two years residence in Waukon, they resided on the farm in Paint Creek township where her death occurred.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Earl Reed Kelly of Waukon and Creston Calvin Kelly of near Rossville, who mourn the passing of a loved wife and mother. There are also four grandchildren: Lorraine and Gwen Kelly of Waukon, Iowa; Donald and Forest Kelly of Rossville, Iowa; two sisters, Bertha, Mrs. Shirley Reeve of Taconia, Pennsylvania and Edith Mary, Mrs. Ora Kelly of Waukon; Two brothers, Albert LeRoy Robey of Minneapolis, Minnesota and Ray Carlton Robey of Waukon. Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings, Ella Wave McClintock, Harry Edgar Robey, Carrie May Robey, Mabel Hallie Robey, William Dudley Robey, and Edna Claire Robey.

Mrs. Kelly was a member and active worker in the Presbyterian Church at Rossville, where she served as teacher and superintendent of the Sunday School. Funeral services will be held this afternoon at the home of the deceased, conducted by Rev. R. L. Van Nice. Burial will take place in the Maple Hill Cemetery near Rossville, Iowa.

(Note: Several years later, Jess Kelly had her removed from the Maple Hill Cemetery and she was buried in the Oakland Cemetery in Waukon, Iowa).
