Veronica H. (Ferring) Conway, 84, died Friday, July 11, 1997 at Thornton Manor Care Center in Lansing.
She was born May 2, 1913 in Lansing. Veronica married Peter J. Conway Feb. 28, 1935.
She is survived by four daughters, Theresa (Ralph) Lyons of Lansing, Kathy (Pat) Connelly of Lansing, Mary (Roger) Quandahl of Waukon and Donna (Dick) Saddler of Harpers Ferry; four sons, Leo (Kathy) of Lansing, Peter Jr. of LaCrosse, John of DeForest, Wis. and Kenneth (Marsha) of Stillwater, Okla.; 37 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Florence Manning of Lansing, Ethel Buchmann of LaCrosse and Clara Guider of Waukon.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a daughter, Ann Welch.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 14 at Immanual Conception Catholic Church, Lansing. Fr. Herbert Tegeler officiated. Burial followed in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Casket bearers were David Lyons, Tom Quandahl, Kevin Welch, Tim Connelly, Bob Saddler, Melissa Conway, Jerry Conway and Janie Conway.
Burke-Thornburg Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
