Donald "Pappy" Mork, 85, passed away Friday, August 27, 2010 in Fort Worth, Texas. Funeral services were held Tuesday, August 31, 2010 in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Fort Worth, Texas. He was born July 8, 1925, in Luana, Iowa, the second son of nine children born to Enoch and Selma (Gjefle) Mork. He graduated from Postville High School and Gates Business College. He served in the United States Navy from 1943 through 1946.

On February 6, 1949 Donald married Joyce Hangartner. They had three children, Scott, Rebecca, and Todd. Joyce preceded him in death January 27, 1987. On November 6, 1988 he married Betty Accord Murchison. Betty preceded him in death April 7, 2004.

Before moving to Texas, Don was employed at Hygrade in Postville. Donald retired in 1986 as Credit Manager for Hygrade Food Products Corp., a division of Sara Lee Foods. Donald was a lifelong fan of all sports. He enjoyed playing golf in his spare time.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to friend Donna Morrison for her loving care and support of Donald and his family during this difficult time. Donald was also preceded in death by a brother, Clifton Mork.

Survivors include his brothers, Eugene Mork and his wife, Lola of Postville, IA; Tennis Mork and his wife, Joan of Monona,IA; sisters, Bona Thorson and her husband, Chuck of Clermont, IA; Phyllis Frieden of Elkader, IA; Gwen Harris of Postville, IA, Diane Berg and her husband, Marvin of Garnavillo, IA; and Carol Buckley and her husband, Bill, of Des Moines, Iowa.

His children are Scott Mork and his wife, Linda; Rebecca Disheroon, and Todd Mork and his wife, Sandra, all of Fort Worth, Texas. The grandchildren are Tiffany Hubbard and her husband Aaron; David Disheroon, Jr. and his wife, Robin; Crystal Hailey and husband Robert; Brooke Holt and husband, Adam; Tyler Mork, and Shelby Mork. The great-grandchildren are Teddy, Beckett, and Matthew Hubbard; Madelyn and Olivia Disheroon; Alissa Planas; Connor Hailey and Gavin Holt.
