Dorothy V. Sweeney,67, of 560 North St., Lansing, died Sunday, May 8 at home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11 at Our Saviour's Lutheran in Lansing with Rev. Peter Samuelson officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday 3;00-9:00 at the Burke Thornburg Funeral Home.
She was born September 12, 1920 in Harpers Ferry to Per and Violet (Delphey) Pearson.
She married Robert J. Sweeney on September 9, 1942 in Reno, Nevada.
She worked as a secretary at Armor Industries until retirement several years ago.
She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, VFW Aux., Legion Aux., and WELCA.
Survivors are her husband, 1 daughter, Rosanne Sweeney, Lansing, her mother, Viola Pearson, Thorton Manor, Lansing, and 2 brothers, Floyd Pearson, Decorah, and Kermit Pearson, Marshall Islands. She was preceded in death by her father.
