Florence Weipert's last rites are held at I.C.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, August 12 for Florence M. Weipert, 87, who died Sunday, August 9 at the Prairie du Chien Memorial Hospital. She had been a Lansing resident until about a month ago, when she moved to McGregor to live with her son, Francis Weipert.
She was born November 14, 1899 in Lansing, the daughter of Frank and Catherine Ferring Strub. She married Theodore Weipert in Lansing on October 19, 1919. He preceded her in death in 1968.
She is survived by two sons, Francis of McGregor and Kenneth of Columbus, Georgia, a daughter Shirley Weipert of Freeport, Ill., 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Rev. Herbert Tegler officiated and burial was in Gethsemane Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ralph Teeling, Robert Strub, Bob Strub, James Strub, Tom Garrett, and Charles Strub.
The Burke-Thornburg funeral home was in charge of arrangements.
